About the event
The purpose of the Yorktown Workboat Races is to showcase and celebrate the Chesapeake Bay Deadrise, which holds a deep and rich history as the official State Boat of Virginia. The Deadrise is distinctive to the Chesapeake Bay, both in design and heritage, having been developed locally in the lower bay region. These exciting events are organized and managed by WORKBOAT LIFE!
