Jamie Marshall: Showman and Boat Docking Champion
Jamie Marshall, captain of Heather Nicole II, a 30-foot vessel powered by a 320 HO CAT engine, is a celebrated boat docking champion known for his precision, speed, and fearless approach in high-stakes competitions. He entered the sport in 1998, sharpening his skills as a Maryland State Trooper and U.S. Marine, where discipline and quick thinking became second nature.
Boat docking runs in Jamie's blood. His father, Dwight Marshall, was a legendary champion affectionately known as "The King of the Docks," who instilled in Jamie a deep passion for the sport. Now, Jamie continues the family legacy by teaching his youngest son, Seth, ensuring the tradition thrives for future generations.
Jamie’s roots are deeply tied to the Chesapeake Bay. His mother, Mary Ada Marshall, resides on Smith Island, Maryland, where she is lovingly called the "Cake Lady" for her renowned Smith Island cakes. In the off-season, Jamie runs a boatyard and works as a commercial fisherman, crabbing and oystering along the coast.
A true showman, Jamie delights fans with his Hulk Hogan poses and magnetic personality while encouraging young boaters to join the sport. Widely respected in the boat docking community, Jamie’s blend of adventure, skill, and dedication keeps him at the forefront of the sport.
